The Mexico Tourism Board is planning a multimillion-dollar tourism marketing push aimed at the U.S. Hispanic population. The campaign will feature television, radio and print advertisements with the tag line "The best way to visit Mexico is on vacation."

1. Verify your hotel is in the program 2. Be sure to block meeting space and make sure it is in the contract. 3. Upon groups arrival make sure you make copies of the attendee's passports and tourist card. 4. Submit your copies and a rooming list and copy of your hotel contract to the hotel's auditor in the accounting department. Your tax will be immediately deducted from your master account!

Air Arrivals to Cozumel were up 30% this summer compared with the same period last year, according to Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (SUR.) According to the Cozumel Hotel Association, hotel occupancy during the first quarter of 2004 rose 15% over the same period last year.

Continental Airlines said it plans to launch nonstop service four times a week between Houston and Huatulco Mexico, effective Dec 17. RESEARCH LAYS GROUNDWORK FOR SITE FOUNDATION MOTIVATION INDEX
The latest study from the Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE) Foundation entitled "Motivation in the Hospitality Industry", found that higher levels of motivation and motivated performance translate into a 53% reduction in employee turnover, a marked improvement in an economy that pegs unwanted turnover costs at $140 billion annually! This new study represents the first stage of a multi-phase research effort. Upon completion of all phases, the results will be used to create the SITE Foundation Motivation Index. The Motivation Index will serve as a national indicator of employee motivation by identifying the impact of motivation on business outcomes in the service sector. DELTA TO DITCH DFW IN MASSIVE COMPANY OVERHAUL
Delta Air Lines said the airline in January 05 plans to discontinue hub operations at DFW, one of several specific initiatives stemming from their comprehensive strategic reviews. The airline will redeploy aircraft from DFW to hubs in Atlanta, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City, which will impact 51 percent of Delta's network.
